consultations
Consultations are a scheduled time for us to sit down 1:1 to discuss your tattoo idea.
EVERYONE NEEDS A CONSULTATION
It’s the very vital first step into getting some new ink. This is my time to gather information so I can accurately create a piece custom to you.
This is also a great time for you to ask any questions about myself as an artist, procedures, preparation, etc..
Follow the link below to book a consultation. Please fill out the request form as accurately as possible.
Studio
etiquette
Tattoo booths are for the artist and client, and possibly one additional person. This person will be required to follow the same safety rules and expectations we ask of you.
Children are NOT allowed in the studio (18+)
Come clean and dress comfortably
Wear clothing that allows easy access to the area being tattooed
Warm, comfortable layers are recommended.
Avoid scheduling activities immediately after your appointment
Bring an item of entertainment (headphones for a movie/show, handheld videogames, book, etc.)
Avoid using numbing creams on your skin.
You will be rescheduled at your own cost
I have personally seen the negative impact of numbing creams on the healing process. You are paying for my quality of work and I genuinely want what’s best for you.
Bring snacks and drinks!
Booking an
appointment
Once your consultation is complete we are able to move forward to booking your appointment! We will review studio and deposit policies before scheduling the big day.
Deposits aren’t all about the money, it’s a mutual commitment that provides security for both client and artist. As my client, you are making a commitment to follow through with the project you have commissioned me to do. As the artist, the deposit secures your appointment date meaning that I have committed myself, and dedicated my time, to the project.
Deposits vary based on project
After care
Always wash your hands before handling your fresh tattoo
With warm water, use an unscented antibacterial soap to wash your tattoo. Use your hand to gently massage your tattoo clean.
Use good judgement to decide if you need to repeat the wash. Slimy=rewash
Pat dry with clean paper towel(s).
With clean hands apply a small amount of ointment by gently massaging (in small circular motions) over the area of tattooed skin.
To reduce chances of infection and/or scarring, avoid the following for 6 weeks:
Tanning (chemically or other)
Submerging in water (bath, pool, lake, dishes, etc.)
Tight Clothes
Excessive rubbing, scratching, close shaving, exfoliation
There are many factors that can contaminate and cause infection in your tattoo. Some things to mindfully avoid:
Pet dander/hair
Dirty sheets/clothes
Sweat
For any further questions or concerns, please contact me at creatingkrystal@gmail.com
If you suspect your tattoo has become infected, contact a doctor.
